Due to company growth, we have a great opportunity for a commercially minded and highly organised Business Development Executive to join our Energy Management company within a highly successful and growing engineering services group.
We have a successful track record working with large, blue-chip customers throughout the UK, providing customers with Energy Management and Compliance Solutions, with the aim of reducing costs, minimising risk, and delivering carbon reduction objectives.
We are looking to recruit a hard-working individual with relevant knowledge and experience who, as part of a small but growing team, will work closely with the MD and Business Manager and will have overall responsibility for sourcing new business and managing the sales process through to completion.
Enthusiasm, drive, and an entrepreneurial character are key to succeeding in this role.

Job Description
- Researching businesses and industry trends to identify potential new clients, markets, and ways to serve existing clients better
- Contacting potential new clients using phone and email to gauge interest and plan meetings
- Taking ownership of the sales process and driving leads through to completion
- Utilising CRM software to track and nurture potential new business
- Preparing client presentations and materials, including PowerPoint and sales displays
- Meeting new and existing clients in person
- Negotiating business terms with new and existing clients using phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Setting sales goals and delivering against targets agreed
- Working with Managing Director and Energy team to identify new opportunities and support team and business growth and sales targets
- Work with in-house Social Media & Content Manager to capture the interest of potential clients
Person Specification
We are looking for someone with the commitment, drive, and enthusiasm, to support our business development goals. You might have a background in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing with 2/3 years’ experience, and will have a proven track record of reaching and exceeding targets. You will be comfortable with inside and field sales and have experience running the full sales cycle.
You will thrive in an environment where service is key and enjoy being a point of contact with customers. Due to the potential growth of the business, we’re looking for someone who can drive the business development function and work with existing and new customers on highlighting opportunities for growth and potential new revenue.
An excellent communicator and persuasive character who can build positive relationships at various levels both internally and externally.

An understanding of the Energy industry is desirable but not essential.
